Published on: June 28, 2007Lone Star College-Kingwood celebrates Independence Day with a concert featuring a variety of patriotic music performed by the Kingwood Community Symphonic Band, the Halcyon Brass Quintet, members of the Kingwood Area Grand Chorus, and the Kingwood Big Band.
In addition to the patriotic music to be performed and sung, we will offer some audience participation in the singing of a few patriotic songs and this will be the Kingwood Big Band's "bon voyage" performance prior to their concert tour of Italy and Switzerland.

Attended by more than 250,000 jazz fans in 2006, Switzerland's Montreux Jazz Festival is one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the world, and the Kingwood Big Band is pleased to be able to represent Lone Star College-Kingwood and Houston through this global venue.
