Texas Education Agency (TEA) recognized Lone Star College-Kingwood for maintaining a professional test center by fully complying with the detailed and rigorous guidelines set out by General Education Development Testing Services (GEDTS), the GED Testing Service, and TEA.
"Few GED Examiners earn this distinction of perfection in every category of performance, so we are gratified to congratulate Chief Examiner SuAnn Hereford and the entire staff who worked so hard to uphold GED standards," states G. Paris Ealy, J.D., GED State Administrator.
Each year, centers must complete contracts that satisfy the requirements of both the GEDTS and the TEA. The contracts must be complete, accurate and submitted on time. Centers must adhere to standards for supervision of GED Testing Centers, compile detailed reports on credentials issued, document the training of Chief Examiners and Examiners and adhere to testing procedures. It takes the commitment, professionalism and coordination of an entire Testing Center team to earn this distinction. Examinees will experience no delays in testing because their center has submitted all required materials and is in good standing with state and national administrative agencies.
