LSC-Greenspoint Center begins new accounting mentor program using area CPAs

Published on: November 24, 2009

At some point we all could use a mentor in our lives. Starting in spring 2010, LSC-Greenspoint Center is proud to present the Accounting Mentoring Program. This new program pairs accounting students with a local Certified Public Account (CPA), who will help guide them in their scholastic development and career goals. CPA mentors can explain what accounting is and its importance in today’s business world; help students discover different career paths within the accounting field; and provide tutoring for their current accounting courses. Additionally, mentors can offer students motivation and encouragement to pursue their academic goals; and show them day to day activities of an accountant as well as expose them to the world of business.
