Free financial aid workshops set throughout March

How do you get the money available for college through financial aid? Lone Star College-CyFair can help with Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday workshops.

Parents and students will get free, on-site assistance applying for financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) throughout March. All workshops will be held in the Technology (TECH) Building at LSC-CyFair, 9191 Barker Cypress.

The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal and state financial aid programs such as grants, loans and work study. Students should bring all 2009 tax information (w2s, tax return, etc.) for themselves and their parents.

Workshops are available Tuesday, March 9 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in TECH 115; Thursday, March 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in TECH 104B; Saturday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to  2 p.m. in TECH 104B; Tuesday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in TECH 104B; Thursday, March 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in TECH 115; Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in TECH 104B and Monday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to noon in TECH 221 and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in TECH 104A.
