Orientations Scheduled for FUTURE LSC-North Harris Students
First-time students can avoid being overwhelmed by their first semester at Lone Star College-North Harris by signing up to attend one of the college’s new student orientations during June and July. Orientations include a campus tour, opportunities to speak with student leaders, faculty and staff, as well as one-on-one interaction with advisors. Students will also be able to plan their schedule and register for summer and fall classes.
In addition to the traditional orientations, specialized offerings for first-generation college students, veterans and students receiving GI benefits, and those needing English-for-speakers-of-other-languages (ESOL) instruction will also be available.
Traditional orientations are scheduled for June 2, 10, 24 and July 8, 14 and 28. Orientation for veterans will be held on June 16 and July 20, while ESOL orientation is slated for June 16. First-generation student orientations will be held on June 30 and July 22. A complete listing of dates and times, as well as registration information, is available at LoneStar.edu/orientation or by calling 281.618.5481.
Those planning to attend must also complete the college’s application for admission prior to orientation. All sessions are free, but space is limited.
Orientations will be held at Lone Star College-North Harris which is located at 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, one-half mile south of FM 1960 East, between Aldine-Westfield and Hardy Roads. For more information about the college, call 281.618.5400 or visit: LoneStar.edu/NorthHarris
