Dr. Bennie Lambert, VP of Student Services, honored as mentor

Dr. Bennie Lambert, vice president of student services for Lone Star College-North Harris, was honored by the Texas Women’s Empowerment Foundation and M.E.N. (Mentoring, Educating and Networking) for his efforts to impact the community through his mentorship of young men in the Houston-area.

Dr. Lambert was one of eight men recognized at the June 5 event entitled, A Man’s Perspective: Celebrating Men, Their Impact in the Family and Community. It focused on honoring men who have made mentoring a part of their lives.

As an honoree, Dr. Lambert also participated in a panel session designed to engage men in a constructive discussion about how their love, leadership and legacy can impact and influence families, communities and the world.
In addition to his service to the Lone Star College System, Dr. Lambert has dedicated his time to numerous national and Houston-area community organizations, including The College Board, American College Testing, Special Olympics, and The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He has also served on the board of directors of American Red Cross, YMCA, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America

As a gifted communicator, Dr. Lambert combines humor and wisdom to inspire and inform audiences in a way that few motivational speakers can. He has spoken at more than 100 high schools, colleges and universities and served as a motivational consultant to several of the most respected local and national companies and organizations. He has encouraged thousands of people to seek higher education, learning and performance goals. Dr. Lambert has dedicated his life to helping people reach their potential.
