Tickets on Sale to Lone Star College-Montgomery’s Production of Rent

Lone Star College-Montgomery invites the public to its summer musical theatre production of Rent, by Jonathan Larson. This popular Broadway musical will run for one weekend only—Thursday through Saturday, July 8-10, with shows starting at 7:30 p.m. A single matinee performance will take place on Saturday, July 10, at 2 p.m.
 
“The cast is full of top-notch talent from the college and community,” said Chase Waites, director for the production. “Rent is a show that speaks from the heart. With themes of inclusion and acceptance, this show really packs an emotional punch.” Cast members include Tyler Lewis, Ryan Wilson, Joey George Hancock, Danny Davila, LaDawn Taylor, Michael Hanna, Teri Gina Herra, and Lindsey Edwards.

The Tony Award-winning musical Rent, is a frank, relevant rock opera showcasing young people figuring out life. This production is for mature audiences only, as the musical contains sexuality, language, and situations of an adult nature.

Individual tickets for this performance are $10 (general admission), $7 (seniors), and $5 (students). Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.mycommunitytickets.com/ with the all the money supporting the college’s theatre and scholarship fund.

This riveting musical production showcases the talent and the strength of the theatre program at LSC-Montgomery. The theatre program is dedicated to high-quality productions along with a curriculum that generally transfers to a four-year college or university.
