LSC-Tomball to present Man of La Mancha

Lone Star College-Tomball Theatre presents its annual musical  ‘Man of La Mancha’ for five performances starting July 15 in the Black Box Theatre.

Based on the book by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, the musical tells the story of author Miguel de Cervantes. A prisoner of the Spanish Inquisition, Cervantes and his fellow prisoners perform a play about Don Quixote de la Mancha, the romantic but mad knight who, along with his servant Sancho Panza, embarks on journey to rid the world of evil in the name of the woman he loves, tilting at windmills along the way.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m., July 15-17 and at 2 p.m., on July 17 and 18. Tickets are $12 for students, LSC employees and senior citizens, and $15 for the general public. For reservations or information, please call 281-357-3654 or e-mail sherri.r.white@lonestar.edu.
