Information Session for Popular Paralegal Studies Program Scheduled for Aug. 12

The Lone Star College-North Harris paralegal studies program will hold an information session on Thursday, August, 12 at the LSC-North Harris campus. The session will take place from 6-8 p.m. in ACAD-126 of the college’s Academic Building.

“Our paralegal studies program is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) and graduates more students than any other Gulf Coast college,” said Marcy Delesandri, program director. “As more Individuals are realizing the opportunities and incredible return on investment that this program offers, we wanted to make it easy for them have their questions answered and determine if it is the career for them.”

Anyone interested in the paralegal studies program can attend Thursday’s information session. Registration is not required. In Houston, paralegals earn an average of $43,000 annually working under the direct supervision of a lawyer. They are trained to assist them in legal services such as drafting documents, conducting research and investigations, and interviewing clients and witnesses.

The LSC-North Harris program offers both an associate degree and a certificate option. The certificate is intended for students who have already earned an associate or bachelor’s degree in another field. Students in the program can participate in an internship to gain real-world experience while pursuing their degree or certificate.
