Second-start classes range from eight to 14 weeks in length. Students can register up to the first day of class and complete their course by the first week in December – or earlier depending on the course’s length and start date.

A wide variety of second-start classes are offered, including some distance learning formats. Courses are designed to fit a broad range of academic goals toward certificates, associate’s degrees or university transfer.

On LSC-Kingwood’s campus, course offerings include: accounting, biology, business/computers, intro to computers, cosmetology, criminal justice, dance, developmental reading and writing, economics, education, English, ESOL, geography, government, history, humanities, kinesiology, math, music, philosophy, psychology, sociology, Spanish, Speech and more. Second start classes offered at LSC-Atascocita Center are developmental reading and writing and English.

To assure the best selection, students are encouraged to register as early as possible. Students must enroll before the first class meets.
