SecondStart Classes at LSC-North Harris Begin as Late as Mar. 21

For anyone who needs a little more time before taking college classes this spring, Lone Star College-North Harris is offering SecondStart classes beginning as late as Mar. 21 or as soon as Jan. 24. Shorter than the traditional semester, SecondStart classes offer additional flexibility. The offerings range from a slightly-shortened semester, to an intense, fast-paced sprint through the coursework.

More than 120 SecondStart classes are available at LSC-North Harris this spring, including traditional subjects like math, science, English and history. Workforce-specific offerings such as aviation management and machining technology are also offered.

SecondStart classes are available days, evenings, or weekends at LSC-North Harris, LSC-Carver Center in Acres Homes and LSC-Greenspoint Center in Greenspoint, as well as in online and hybrid formats.

Even though some classes may not start for several months, and registration may be available up until the first day of class, those interested should register as soon as possible. Record enrollments at LSC-North Harris have resulted in an incredibly high-demand for classes, and the limited number of seats can fill quickly.

Current and recently enrolled students can register online at my.LoneStar.edu. New students can apply for admission online, or at the LSC-North Harris campus or one of its centers.

Lone Star College-North Harris courses are designed to fit a diverse spectrum of academic goals, and can lead to certificates, associate degrees or university transfer.
