“Maverick Mania” Open House Offered on March 29 at Lone Star College-Montgomery

Lone Star College-Montgomery is throwing open its (new) doors on Tuesday, March 29, for a prospective student open house. Dubbed “Maverick Mania” for its recently-adopted mascot, LSC-Montgomery will offer campus tours, college information sessions, registration and advising, a program fair, free food, music, giveaways, door prizes and more! The first 150 attendees will receive a free Lone Star College t-shirt.

The event will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the new Atrium area of the Health Science Center (Building B). Attendees should enter the college using West Campus Drive, which is directly across from College Park High School, and park in the new five-level parking garage, or available surface parking.

"We invite community members of all ages, including high school students and their parents, to come out to the campus for Maverick Mania," said Steve Scheffler, dean of college relations. "LSC-Montgomery will exceed your expectations. We have exceptional faculty and staff, and a wide range of programs to satisfy anyone's interest. Not only that, we recently completed a tremendous campus expansion, opening three new buildings, a parking garage, and a full-service campus in Conroe — all within the past 12 months. It’s an exciting time to be at LSC-Montgomery."

The first 150 attendees will receive a free Lone Star College t-shirt, and other prizes include Houston Rocket tickets, bookstore gift certificates, and more.

Similar open house events will take place throughout the same week at all other Lone Star College System campuses, including LSC-Kingwood, LSC-CyFair, LSC-Tomball, and LSC-North Harris. Visit www.LoneStar.edu/openhouse for information on all the LSCS open houses.
