LSC-Tomball Kicks off Registration for Discovery College

For parents who want their children to learn and have fun over the summer, registration for Discovery College at Lone Star College-Tomball kicks off on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to noon in E-166, near the Beckendorf Conference Center.

Discovery College is a unique summer enrichment camp that runs from June 6 to August 4. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday in the mornings from 8 a.m. to noon and in the afternoons from 1 to 5 p.m. Different classes are offered each week for children ages 6-8, tweens ages 9-12 and teenagers ages 13-17. Tuition for Discovery College is $89 per week.

Parents must register their children in person. For those unable to come out on April 16, registration will continue in E-166 during regular business hours until June 3. All Discovery College classes will be held on the LSC-Tomball campus.

Among the diverse classes being offered this summer are Career Exploration, Cupcake Decorating, Robotics & Construction Exploration, Social Etiquette, Golf, Babysitting, Adventures in Art and Oozing, Bubbling Science. Discovery College will also offer classes specifically geared toward children with developmental disabilities, such as Music & Motion and Learning Skills Review.
