Published on: April 18, 2008

Lone Star College-Kingwood Drama Department will hold auditions Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7, 6-9 p.m. in the SFA Performing Arts Theatre for the upcoming production of "Kingwood Kabaret", an evening of songs and stories directed by Eric C. Skiles, LSC-Kingwood Artistic Director.

Casting is open to any area vocalist who would like to showcase their vocal skills with jazz standards or modern Broadway show tunes.  To schedule a 10-minute audition slot call 281-312-1672.

"This is an exciting new event in our theatre season," states Skiles.  "We believe there are many vocalists in our community who can't commit to a full-length production, but can certainly join us to sing a song or two!  We hope to raise enough money to present four, full scholarships to students in the fall and spring of the coming school year.  Come join us in an upscale cabaret setting for a great evening full of vocal entertainment!"

Rehearsals will begin May 14 and will not interfere with the Memorial Day Holiday. Performance dates are May 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the SFA Performing Arts Theatre. Ticket prices are $15 and include dessert and beverages. Seating is limited so make your reservations today. For more information or to purchase a ticket, call 281-312-1532.
