Anyone interested in obtaining their associate, bachelor or graduate degrees are invited to attend the Houston Area Recruiter’s Network event at Lone Star College-Kingwood.
The free college transfer fair will take place on Wednesday, June 29 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Student Fine Arts building. The event will host many colleges and universities across the state that are interested in helping people meet their academic goals.
“LSC-Kingwood is committed to helping our students make the transfer from community college to a four-year university a smooth transition. This transfer fair will give the public an opportunity to shop around, examine several options, collect transfer material, speak with a representative and make a decision on what school suits their needs,” said Nicole Keenan, manager of Admissions for LSC-Kingwood.
LSC-Kingwood has held this event on campus for the past two years. At the transfer fair, representatives from approximately 20 institutions will provide information on transfer admissions, student services, financial aid and more. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their transcripts to discuss transfer options, but it is not guaranteed that a full transfer evaluation will occur on the spot.
Participating colleges and universities are Lamar University, North American College, Our Lady of the Lake, Sam Houston State University, St. Thomas University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas A&M University, Texas Chiropractic College, Texas State University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston, UH-Victoria, UH-Downtown, University of Maryland University College, University of Texas-Arlington, UT-Austin, UT-Dallas, UT-M.D. Anderson, and UT-San Antonio.
