=Lone Star College-Kingwood has two wonderful travel opportunities this spring for community residents. As in years past, the college is sponsoring two European trips, one in March to Italy and another in May to Italy, Austria and the Czech Republic.
The first trip to Italy is scheduled for March 6-14 and will be in partnership with Trafalgar tours traveling to Rome, Assisi, Florence and Venice. Some of the wonderful attractions included in the trip are St. Peter's Basilica, the Coliseum, the Forum, Circus Maximus, the Duomo, an optional trip to Pisa, Santa Croce Church and Museum, St. Mark's Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs, and so much more.
The cost of the trip is $2,789 per person, double occupancy, which includes air fare on Air France, all 3 and 4 star hotels, guides, air-conditioned motor coach, breakfast each day, three group dinners, travel insurance and a $100 donation to a scholarship fund for our students. Participants will receive a tax-deductible receipt for this amount.
A deposit of $319 is required per person by November 5 with the balance due on December 6. However, it is anticipated that this trip will fill quickly and space is limited. If you would like to join us please contact Ann Chamberlain at Kingwood Travel at 281-358-5464 or stop by 1308 Kingwood Drive as soon as possible to make arrangements to be part of this fun group of your friends and neighbors. Diane and Victor Blanco will be your hosts representing Lone Star College-Kingwood.
Dr. and Mrs. Todd Miller invite you to experience a true music appreciation tour traveling to Venice, Salzburg, Vienna and Prague, May 22-31. Dr. Miller, interim chair of visual and performing arts at Lone Star College-Kingwood and conductor of the Kingwood Chorale and Chamber Orchestra, promises opportunities to hear some of the world's greatest classical music performed in each of these amazing cities.
The price for the trip is $3,729 per person, double occupancy and includes airfare, breakfast daily, four dinners, air-conditioned motor coach services, tour manager, local guides and entrance fees to many outstanding attractions. Some of the highlights include St. Stephen's Cathedral, St. George's Basilica, Schonbrunn Palace, Mirabell gardens, St. Mark's Square, Mozart's home, Doge's Palace, Old Royal Palace, and more.
