College Hosts Job Fair for Local Craft Store

Lone Star College-Montgomery is hosting a job fair to place students and community members into a creative career at JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store®, a specialty retail store opening a new, larger location in The Woodlands.
The job fair takes place Tuesday, February 28, and Wednesday, February 29, from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., on campus in the atrium of the Health Science Center (Building B).
“These positions are a great opportunity for students to gain employment with this local business,” said Michelle Haynes, program manager for career services. “Due to the large volume of positions available, we know it will be great for students and the community.”
JoAnn’s is looking to fill more than 70 positions for custom framers, front-end supervisors, education coordinators, hard line supervisors, and more. Full time, part time, and seasonal positions are available.
Previous experience in customer service, retail, or merchandising, as well as basic knowledge of POS systems and Windows-based computers, are preferred, but not required. The pay range varies and is based on experience.
Job fair attendees need to be prepared to apply for positions, present their resume, and be interviewed at the fair.
