'Return to Education' Scholarship Funds Available, Application Due November 30

Lone Star College-Montgomery students-especially those returning to college after a major life or career change-have a second chance for a unique scholarship from Assistance League® of Montgomery County.

Due to extra funds, Assistance League's $750 'Return to Education' scholarship, normally awarded each summer, is still available to students entering or already attending LSC-Montgomery or Lone Star College-Conroe Center in pursuit of a career that benefits others. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college in time for the 2013 spring and/or summer semesters.

Completed applications are due Friday, November 30. The scholarship application and instructions can be found online at http://assistanceleaguemont-co.org

Potential recipients must be 18 years or older, be a resident of Montgomery County, and have a high school diploma or GED. The application includes an essay that depicts a need for financial aid, describes the candidate's vocational goals, and explains how achieving those goals will impact the candidate's life.

Applications can be mailed (postmarked on or before November 30) or hand delivered to: Assistance League Scholarship Committee, Attention: Janita Love, 126 North San Jacinto, Conroe, Texas 77301.
