LSC-CyFair Announces Center for the Arts Season

Make plans this spring to enjoy a variety of visual and performing arts at Lone Star College-CyFair. 

The Center for the Arts season begins with the Can-tastic Sculpture for the Hungry exhibition on display Jan. 29 - Feb. 21. Following this collaborative sculpture installation composed of donated canned goods will be the Cone 6: Sustainable Ceramic Practices at LSC-CyFair exhibition March 19 - April 4 and the Student Art Exhibition April 23 – May 2.

In addition to the visual arts, don’t miss LSC-CyFair’s talented vocalists and musicians in this year’s performing arts events.  The season kicks off March 1-3 with a musical production “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and the March 21 Chamber Ensemble’s “ChamberNChocolate.” Then the LSC-CyFair’s Jazz Ensemble takes to the stage April 10 with “AndAllThatJazz” followed with the Symphonic Band’s April 18 “Gustav Holst’s The Planets.”

The season continues in April with the drama production “Greater Tuna” April 19-21, April 26-28 and May 3-5 as well as the choral production “Faure’s Requiem” April 27. Wrapping up the season will be the May 3 “Popular Songwriting Concert – Original New Songs.”
