LSC-Kingwood Students Learn Public Policy from H-GAC

LSC-Kingwood students learn public policy from H-GACEnvironmental science students at Lone Star College-Kingwood learned about the development of public policy when they visited the Houston Galveston Area Councilís (H-GAC) Natural Resources Advisory Committee (NRAC) on Feb. 7. H-GACís mission is to serve as the instrument of local government cooperation and promote the region's orderly development and the safety and welfare of its citizens. The NRAC is appointed by H-GAC's Board of Directors and serves as a forum to review and advise public officials on policy issues affecting natural resources in the 13-county Houston-Galveston region.
