LSC-Tomball to Host College Night

When selecting a college or university, it's best for students to visit schools of interest, but that requires a lot of time and money.  Recognizing this challenge, Lone Star College-Tomball is bringing the colleges and universities to the students.

On October 3, 2013, from 6-8 p.m., the advising and counseling offices of LSC-Tomball will be hosting “College Night.”  For two hours, local community college and high school students will have an opportunity to spend time with college and university representatives and discuss issues of interest including admissions requirements, programs being offered, and other information to help choose the right college or university.

A wide range of colleges and universities (Texas state universities, private universities and out-of-state universities) are scheduled to attend the event for LSC-Tomball and Magnolia High School, Magnolia West High School, Tomball High School, Waller High School and other surrounding area high school students, including:

  • Abilene Christian University
  • Baylor University
  • Dallas Baptist University
  • Kansas State University
  • Sam Houston State University
  • St. Edward's University
  • St. Mary’s University
  • Stephen F. Austin State University
  • Texas Christian University
  • Texas State University
  • Texas Tech University
  • Texas Woman's University
  • University of Houston – Main Campus
  • University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
  • University of Texas of the Permian Basin

Sponsored by the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), the event is free, open to the public and will take place in the LSC-Tomball Student Center Commons (State Highway 249 and Zion Road).  For more information, contact Lisa Davis at 281.351.3380 or lisa.m.davis@lonestar.edu.
