Pianist to perform in Black Box Theatre Nov. 13

Contemporary pianist Makiko Hirata will perform works by five Texas composers - including LSC-University Park music instructor Chad Robinson - on Friday, Nov. 13. Both are founding members of the Texas New Music Ensemble.

Hirata, who has taught at LSC-CyFair, has a YouTube channel featuring her "Poco Piano" lectures. She will perform at 7 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre, Building 12, Room 135. The event is free and open to the public. Donations for the Fine Arts program at LSC-University Park will be accepted.
