Lone Star College-Montgomery’s Art Faculty Put Their Work on Display in Exhibit

The Lone Star College-Montgomery Art Department presents the 2016 Art Faculty Show scheduled Monday, March 7 through Friday, March 25 in the Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery.

“We are proud to present this exhibition for a group who dedicate most of their time to focusing on their students’ art,” says Linda Woodward, art department chair. “Our faculty work with a variety of media so many diverse pieces will be displayed.”

Featured professors include Robby Wood, Carlos Landa, Mead McLean, and Tommy Taylor. The artists will discuss their process and inspiration at an opening reception being held on Tuesday, March 8 at noon in the Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery. Lunchtime snacks and refreshments will be served.

“Attending the opening reception is a great way to help the LSC-Montgomery community celebrate this multi-faceted show with our very own Maverick artists,” says Woodward.

The Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Center, (building D) and is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
