Lone Star College-CyFair’s annual Cy-Fest is a must-do family day with a petting zoo, pony carousel, train rides, bounce houses, duck races, math activities and more from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1.
There will be something for all ages with live entertainment, martial arts demos, arts and crafts, pumpkin patch and face painting as well as a non-profit and community organizations information zone. New to Cy-Fest this year will be a variety of food trucks with tasty treats for purchase.
Also part of Cy-Fest is Math Games Day and a student pottery one-day sale.
LSC-CyFair’s Mathematics Department hosts a carnival of fractions, geometry, measurement and all things numerical for children ages 3 to10. Stop and “multiply the fun when arithmetic is done” at this come-and-go event in the Conference Center. No registration needed; however, parents/adults must accompany their children at all times.
LSC-CyFair’s Art Department will host a Student Pottery Sale featuring the work of ceramics students. The sale will be held in the lobby of the Center for the Arts Building. Pottery can be purchased with cash only.
“Cy-Fest is and always has been a free event thanks to many local businesses and community partners, who generously donate resources and time. We are grateful for their continued support,” said LSC-CyFair’s College Relations Executive Director Michelle Tran.
