Join the “Insights on Teacher Effectiveness” presentation Oct. 20 at Lone Star College-CyFair.
LSC-CyFair’s Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) Department continues an Education Speaker Series with Pope Elementary School Principal Becky Koop, who will share her perspective on what makes an effective teacher. Koop’s experience in education began in 1985 and includes elementary through high school teaching as well as several instructional leadership roles.
Under Koop’s leadership as principal, the Texas Education Agency has recognized Cy-Fair Independent School District’s Pope Elementary with numerous distinctions. Among the high recognitions are: Academic Achievement in ELA/Reading, Mathematics and Science; Top 25 Percent in both Student Progress and Closing Performance Gaps as well as Postsecondary Readiness.
This event will be held from 6 p.m. - 7p.m. in the Conference Center at 9191 Barker Cypress.
