Lone Star College Police Department announce promotions

The Lone Star College Police Department promoted two new captains and six new sergeants during a recent ceremony held at LSC-University Park.

“Lone Star College is committed to providing a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff and visitors,” said Paul Willingham, LSC police chief. “These officers are to be commended for their hard work and dedication.”

Edwin Gomez, LSC-Kingwood and Michael Tymniak, Office of the LSC Chief of Police, were promoted to the rank of captain.

Patricia Vidito, LSC-CyFair; Randall Bass, LSC-Montgomery; Lamont Perkins, LSC-North Harris; David Warner, LSC-Tomball; Pierre Barthe, LSC-University Park; and Michael Lockhart, LSC-System Office were promoted to the rank of sergeant.

The officers received their promotions after completing a rigorous and competitive three-day program and will provide additional supervision as well as supplementary senior level support. The ceremony included family and friends of the promoted personal.

“We want your experience with the Lone Star College police officers to be positive, pleasant and above all, safe. Our mission is to provide a safe and secure environment where education can thrive,” said Willingham. “The years of experience and training our officers have help ensure that we have pleasant and safe facilities.” 

The LSC Police Department provides a full range of police services, including escorts, motorist assists and safety information. LSC police officers are commissioned by the state of Texas and have the same powers and abilities as any other police officer in the state.
