Mark your calendars, Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo and Spring Fling set for April!

It is no April Fools’ joke, put this on your calendar: the Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo and Spring Fling will take place on April 1 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Lone Star College-Montgomery.


A giant pool allows children to paddle kayaks at the Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo and Spring Fling. The event will take place Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Lone Star College-Montgomery.

Kids can learn gun safety at the Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo and Spring Fling’s shooting education range. The event will take place Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Lone Star College-Montgomery.

The annual, free, family-friendly event gives children and adults a chance to get outdoors and learn about the natural environment.

Be inspired by experts who can tell you everything about landscaping, gardening and the critters and insects that live in your yard.

Children’s imaginations can run wild in the Kids Adventure Zone. Little ones can test their archery skills, learn gun safety, master kayaking, hold slithery snakes, and pet furry animals. Smokey Bear will also be on hand to take pictures with the whole family.

The Texas Wildlife and Woodland Expo and Spring Fling is co-sponsored by LSC-Montgomery, Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Parks & Wildlife, along with the Montgomery County Beautification Association and the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension.
