Lone Star College-Montgomery offering classes in Magnolia

Lone Star College-Montgomery courses are coming to Magnolia. This fall LSC-Montgomery is offering a cohort of classes on Tuesday evenings at Magnolia High School.

“LSC-Montgomery strives to provide educational opportunities for our community close to where students live,” said Dr. Rebecca Riley, President at LSC-Montgomery. “These classes will provide students with a convenient way to get a quality education at an affordable price.”

The block of classes feature university-transfer courses including English 1301 and History 1301 as well as a mandatory LSC-Montgomery first-year experience course Education 1300. These classes have convenient scheduling options; they begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8:50 p.m.

LSC-Montgomery is in the process of selecting a location for its Magnolia Center. The 65,000 square-foot Magnolia Center will provide easy access to education for Magnolia residents and those in the surrounding communities. In addition to general education courses necessary for transferring to a four-year institution, the Magnolia Center will offer select workforce programs that will best serve the Magnolia community and its employers.
