Come see the creativity and talent of area artists featured this fall at Lone Star College-CyFair’s Bosque Gallery.
The art gallery exhibition schedule opens with Thomas Austin’s abstract collection “Embryonic Journey” on display Sept. 6 - Oct. 4. After a 45-year career in the corporate world, Austin picked up his first paint brush in an LSC-CyFair class. Using acrylic paint, this new artist’s abstracts communicate emotions, movement and depth.
Next on the schedule is the work of Natalie Stovall with “Chance Sightings and Odd Encounters” on display Oct. 11 – Nov. 8. Raised in Houston, this LSC-CyFair adjunct art professor became a full-time artist in 1999. Her drawings and paintings reflect her thoughts and feelings about life as well as explore transitions in life.
Learn more about Austin and Stovall at the artists talks held at the opening receptions or at the Tea+Art+Talks set Sept. 18 and Oct. 23 with the artists, respectively.
Don’t miss the closing exhibition highlighting some of the best work of LSC-CyFair’s talented students on display Nov. 29 – Dec. 13.
The Student Art Exhibit features the original work LSC-CyFair visual art students have completed in their fall classes. The end-of the-semester exhibition includes a multi-media representation of drawings, ceramics, design, photography and painting.
Meet the student artists in person at the awards reception set Thursday, Nov. 29.
