LSC-North Harris offers an early start to college

HOUSTON (November 16, 2018) – Lone Star College-North Harris offers high school students the chance to jump start their college education through dual credit courses.

In dual credit courses a high school student enrolls in a college course and receives simultaneous academic credit from both LSC-North Harris and their high school. Students can also earn college level certifications while still in high school that can lead to immediate job opportunities after graduation.

To be eligible for dual credit a student must:

  • Be enrolled in high school with an agreement with LSC-North Harris
  • Obtain approval from the high school designee for dual credit enrollment
  • Complete college admissions requirements for exceptional admissions into the dual credit program
  • Meet minimum college readiness test scores in reading, writing, math and/or prerequisites for the course(s) you want to take for dual credit.

LSC-North Harris currently partners with a variety of north Houston districts and schools, including: Aldine ISD, Spring ISD, Fallbrook College Preparatory Academy, and Harmony School of Advancement.
