Library celebrates Black History Month

 

·African-American Art & Literature:
 Display of library materials with information about and works of black authors, artists and musicians. The display pyramid for this event is on the 1st floor of the library – in front of the 1st  floor Reference Desk. When: Throughout the month of February. These materials can be checked out at the Circulation Desks.

 

·Black History Books for Children:
 Children’s books on black history are collected and displayed on this ‘book pyramid’ for children to read and check them out. Where: 1st floor of the library in the Children’s Section.

 

·African Gold: Selections from the Glassell Collection: This presentation offered by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, featuring fascinating objects representing the culture and art traditions of West Africa. When: 3:00PM Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007. Where: Library Meeting Room L-129.

 

·Jazz Night: Come to see this live jazz concert presented by the Tomball College jazz group. When: From 6:30PM – 7:30PM, Tuesday, February 20 Where: Library Meeting Room L-129.
