Whose film will win the grand prize at this year’s Quack Attack Film Festival? Find out when the 12 category and overall winners are announced Feb. 27.

“Come enjoy a night of fun and imagination at Lone Star College-CyFair,” said David Potts, video production professor. “We will show the ‘best of’ among all the five-minute film submissions and the winning filmmakers will be unveiled.”

The festival is open to everyone, however, a jury of entertainment industry professionals will actually choose the winners based on: Creativeness, Sound, Cinematography and Special Effects.

Film makers are competing in a variety of categories - Drama, Comedy, Public Service Announcements, Action, Documentary, Commercial/Advertising, Horror, Science Fiction, Romance, Animation, News Packages and Music Video.
  
“The LSC-CyFair Video Production Club is hosting this film festival as a way to give back to the community,” said Potts, who teaches Video Studio Production; Lighting for Video or Film, and Digital Video. “In addition, the festival gives future filmmakers of America a chance to participate, compete and win an award.” 

The film festival will be held at 7 p.m. in the Conference Center on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
