On Saturday, Apr. 26, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Lone Star College-North Harris and Houston Northwest Medical Center will host a poignant and ever-important event, "A Labor of Love: End of Life Forum." The forum will be on the LSC-North Harris campus, 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive, Houston, in the college's Winship Building, room WN-183.Guest speakers include Dr. Michael Pope, Houston Northwest Medical Center physician; Lori Dodd, Vitas Hospice; Dr. Don Stanley, LSC-North Harris psychology professor; Denise Van Kuiken, LifeGift Organ Donation Center donation system specialist, Chaplain Paul Polk, Houston Northwest Medical Center chaplain, and Virginia Barry, Houston Northwest Medical Center, director of clinical process improvement. Also participating are Brookside Funeral Home-Champions and Rosewood Funeral Home-Humble.
