LSC-Greenspoint Center Announces Credit Classes Offered at MacArthur High School Beginning Fall 2008

Beginning fall 2008, Lone Star College-Greenspoint Center will begin offering college credit classes at MacArthur High School one of the Aldine Independent School District’s senior high campuses.

“Lone Star College-North Harris and the LSC-Greenspoint Center have always strived to bring higher educational opportunities directly to the community–not only through a major campus and two satellite locations, but within easy reach to local neighborhoods,” says Dr. Vivian Lilly, dean of both the LSC-Greenspoint Center and LSC-Carver Center.

The first fall 2008 classes to be offered will be Government, Psychology, Introductory Algebra and Introduction to Computers. Classes will meet twice a week in the evenings. Administrators are also planning an expanded schedule for the spring 2009 semester. These first four courses were chosen because they meet the basic course requirements for most undergraduate degree programs.
