Published on: March 22, 2007Do you have a flare for design? Here’s a chance to meet the students and faculty in Lone Star College-Kingwood’s award-winning Visual Communication Program and discover a new career in digital design.
Beginning March 28 and continuing through April 12, the public is invited to view the outstanding design work of our visual communication students during the Visual Communication Showcase in the SFA South Art Gallery located on campus.
The public is invited to join students and faculty for a casual noon-time reception, Wednesday, March 28, 12:30-1:30 p.m., where faculty and advisors will be on hand to speak with prospective students and those interested in a career in visual communication. Learn more about this dynamic Lone Star College-Kingwood program and view student projects in graphic design, multimedia, animation, and video production. Refreshments will be provided.
While at the Art Gallery, visit the Interior Design Trade Show also on display in the North Gallery through April 12. Student presentations highlighting a variety of materials used in interiors will be on display and students and faculty will be available to talk about the nationally recognized Interior Design Program at Lone Star College-Kingwood.
Lone Star College-Kingwood offers a two-year AAS Visual Communication degree with emphasis in graphic design, multimedia, or video & post-production. One and two-year career program certificates are also offered in graphic design, motion graphics, multimedia design, and video & post-production. Students who attend the Kingwood program gain the necessary skills and experience to earn an important foothold in the industry upon graduation. Registration for the May mini-mester and summer semester is currently underway at Lone Star College-Kingwood. The three-week mini-mester begins May 14 and ends June 1. The first session of summer classes begins June 4 and ends July 10. The second summer session begins July 12 and ends Aug. 16.
