Registration winners announced

Lone Star College–CyFair students Adrian Curiel, Natalie Peak and Jessica Hughes are the winners of the free tuition grand prize, the $250 book voucher and the IPOD shuffle, respectively.

The goal of this registration campaign was to encourage early registration, whether it’s online, by phone or on site, to avoid long lines to see advisors or make payments, particularly during heavy registration periods. Some 2,054 students who registered early were eligible for these prize drawings.

“We want to provide the personal attention needed to help each student succeed, and that does take some time,” said Diana Pino, dean of student services. “So give yourself a break, and more time to do what you want - just register early.”

Register for spring semester credit online, weekend, evening or LSC-Online courses through Jan. 13, 2007, by phone at 281-290-3200 or 832-782-5000, online at cyfair.lonestar.edu or in person at Barker Cypress, 9191 Barker Cypress or the Lone Star College–Fairbanks Center, 14955 Northwest Freeway.

However, it’s not too late to register for continuing education courses, such as to earn a certificate from machining and office specialist to medication aide and personal trainer, to enjoy arts and leisure or recreation and fitness, or even to learn a language, computer technology or real estate.
