Ambassador Program Provides Student Scholarship Opportunity

Applications for the Montgomery College Student Ambassador program are currently being accepted for the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters. The Ambassador program is a scholarship program for students. Each Ambassador works 30 professional hours per semester and, upon successful completion, receives a $300 scholarship.

Montgomery College Ambassadors support and promote all aspects of the college among current, prospective and former students and the community. Ambassadors assist Montgomery College and the Lone Star College System (Lone Star College System) at community, on-campus and districtwide events.

To be eligibile, students must:

  • Be a student in good standing at Montgomery College.
  • Be taking credit classes at Montgomery College toward a degree or planning to transfer to  a four-year university.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Be able to commit 10 hours per month to service activities.
  • Be available on Mondays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. for weekly meetings.
  • Be dependable.

The Ambassador program is a great opportunity for students who want to do more for their college, learn valuable communication skills and meet new people. Montgomery College Ambassadors are also a part of student organizations on campus. Ambassadors have meetings, work for the college and also have fun!
