From Dr. Richard Carpenter, Chancellor:

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Audre Levy has accepted my offer to serve as the next president of LSC-CyFair.

She has been assistant to the vice president of instruction and Title III director at Brookhaven College in the Dallas Community College District and administrator and counselor at Los Angeles Community College.

I would like to thank all the students, community members, faculty, staff and administrators who took the time to attend the candidate forums or watch the videos of the forums to provide me feedback on the candidate forums.  Your input was extremely valuable in helping me make my decision.

I would also like to acknowledge Dr. Feleccia Moore-Davis and Deanna Sheppard, who served as hosts to all of the finalist candidates.  They were gracious ambassadors for LSC-CyFair and made our candidates feel welcome.  Many other members of the campus community helped facilitate the search process, including Laura Gervais, Flo Tsai and Mary Serina. Thank you to Jen Murillo and her team for ensuring that the videos of the candidate forums were available online.

Wheless Associates served as search consultant and did an excellent job managing the process and bringing forward an excellent slate of candidates for the search advisory committee to review.  Helen Clougherty served as search liaison and did outstanding work in managing the logistics of the process.

I extend my deepest appreciation to the search advisory committee Dr. Steve Head, President LSC-North Harris; Idolina Hernandez, Professor Sociology and  Faculty Senate President ; Dr. James Seymour, Professor History; Lucy Vo, Phi Theta Kappa; J. Meanette Martino, PSSA President; Reginald Lillie, Reginald Lillie Insurance Service and president CyFair Area Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Linda Luehrs Wolfe, Associate Vice Chancellor Curriculum and Instruction; and  Dr. Diana Pino, Dean, Student Services
for their fine work and many hours in reviewing candidate applications, selecting candidates to invite to interview, interviewing semi-finalists candidates and recommending the finalists to bring on to campus.

My thanks to all of you who participated in the selection of Dr. Levy.  I know you will enthusiastically welcome her to the campus this summer.

Make LSC part of your story.
