Lone Star College-Kingwood to Hold Dance Student ShowcaseThe public is invited to join the Lone Star College Kingwood Dance Department for their fall Dance Student Showcase, Friday Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fitness Training Center Dance Studio (FTC 101) on campus.

The showcase, entitled “Where Dancers Become Artists,” is dedicated to giving students the opportunity to develop professional skills in and through the art of dance.  With an emphasis in performance and choreography, class focus begins in the studio with a strong background education in dance technique and concert production, leading to an end of semester concert choreographed and produced entirely by the students.

The Dance Student Showcase includes more than 13 works, including solos and small-to-large group works of various styles and topics. The showcase also includes movement studies that focus on various choreographic forms and choreographic development.

Tickets are $5 and are available in advance from Dance Ensemble members or at the door the day of the event. For more information, contact Amy Smith at Amy.E.Smith@LoneStar.edu.
