LSC-Kingwood hosts industry specific job fair
LSC-Kingwood’s Career Services invite local businesses to reserve a job fair booth. The fair will be held Nov. 8 from 12-2 p.m. in the SCC.

A Business Administration and Professional Services Job Fair will be hosted by Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Career Services department on Tuesday, Nov. 8. This job fair will be held in the Student Conference Center (SCC) from 12-2 p.m.

“Because this job fair is geared toward our December graduates and alumni, we are seeking employers with positions that relate to some of the programs offered at the LSC-Kingwood campus,” said Kim Hammond, career services employment specialist.

Open positions are preferred in: business administration, management, marketing, medical front office, computer information technology, fire science technology, graphic design, game design and simulation, and visual communications. Local businesses that are currently hiring full-time and part-time positions in these fields are invited to participate.

“This is a great forum to recruit a local work force,” said Jill Todd, career services program manager.”

Participation in the event is free, but registration is required. To qualify, businesses must have a store front/office location and pay an hourly wage as required by law. Businesses conducted from a home office and businesses with commission-only positions are asked not to participate in this event. Space is limited and early registration is recommended.

LSC-Kingwood’s Career Services department hosts two job fairs each semester and provides free resources to students and the business community. Career Services is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and is located in the SCC room 205.

“We are dedicated to helping students make informed decisions about their career choices, and connecting them with opportunities in our community,” Todd said.
