Published on: March 28, 2013Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Dance Department invites the community to its Dance Student Showcase on April 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fitness and Training Center room 101.
“This showcase is special in that all works were choreographed and will be performed by the dance students,” said Amy Llanes, dance professor. “We are impressed by the depth of material that the students have explored in creating their works.”
The LSC-Kingwood Dance Ensemble is in its third year. The group was formed in the fall of 2009 to provide opportunities for students to develop their own original choreography. Dance students who are not involved in choreographing or performing will be serving in backstage roles helping to make the concert run smoothly.
General admission is $5 and tickets can be purchased at the door by cash or check only. For more information on the Dance Student Showcase or on the college’s dance program, email Amy.E.Llanes@LoneStar.edu.
