Individuals looking to turn their passion into a rewarding career, current professionals, or people looking for a new avenue to pursue, are invited to attend the Cosmetology Job Fair at Lone Star College-Kingwood. The fair is on July 18 from 10-11 a.m. in the Student Conference Center (SCC).
“We are focusing specifically on cosmetology at this job fair, because our current class of cosmetology students will graduate in August,” said Kim Hammond, career services employment specialist. “We are excited to connect these stylists with local career opportunities.”
The Cosmetology Job Fair is also open to local salons that are presently hiring stylists. Interested businesses must have a store front/office location and pay an hourly wage. Participation in the event is free.
“This is a great forum for salons to connect with LSC-Kingwood students and to recruit a local work force,” said Jill Todd, career services program manager. “We also encourage other cosmetology professionals, who are currently seeking employment, to attend.”
The Career Services Department at LSC-Kingwood provides resources and programs to help individuals clarify academic and career goals, establish career plans, develop effective job-search skills, and make successful career transitions.
