|LSC-Kingwood will hold a Fall Adjunct Job Fair on Oct. 14 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the SCC.|
Educators, or other community members who are interested in sharing their knowledge with others, are encouraged to attend Lone Star College-Kingwood’s Fall Adjunct Job Fair on Oct. 14.
The job fair will be held from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on campus. Candidates are needed to teach daytime classes in: arts, astronomy, biology, chemistry, cosmetology, drama, English, ESOL, government, history, math, music, physics and psychology classes for spring 2017. Depending on the subject, courses will be taught in a classroom, online or hybrid setting.
“Potential adjuncts must meet degree-level requirements established by the Southern Association of College and Schools (SACS) and must pass a criminal background check,” said Marianne Pardoe, human resources coordinator.
Prior to attending the Fall Adjunct Job Fair, interested people are asked to apply online at jobs.lonestar.edu. Please attach a current c.v./resume, unofficial transcripts and copies of applicable certifications and licenses to the online application. Candidates should also bring those items along with any other qualifications to the job fair.
Department personnel will be present to speak with applicants. Interviews for selected nominees will be scheduled at a later date. Potential employees unable to attend the job fair can apply for open positions online.
Lone Star College adjunct instructors are employees who receive a limited appointment to teach per semester. Adjuncts may teach no more than nine credit hours per semester not to exceed 18 credit hours in any given academic year. Employment during any one semester does not guarantee employment during any other semester.
