LSC-Kingwood to host HPD hiring event

Looking for a new career? The Houston Police Department is hiring!

On Thursday, July 7th, HPD recruiters will be at Lone Star College-Kingwood to meet with individuals interested in learning more about a career in law enforcement. This hiring event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the John E. Pickelman Student-Conference Center on campus. This event is open to the public, and no appointment is necessary.

Salaries with the Houston Police Department start at $42,000 annually for Cadets.  While 1st Year Officers can expect to earn between $49,831 and $64,071 annually, 2nd Year Officers typically make between $58,441 and $72,681 a year. Those advancing to 3rd Year Officer status earn between $61,779 and $76,019.
