LSC-Fairbanks Center Offerings

The academics department houses faculty from several disciplines who teach at the Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center. Departments include: Accounting, Business & Computer Information/Technology; Biology & Natural Sciences; English; ESOL; History & Government; Mathematics; Social & Behavioral Sciences; and Transitional Studies.

Admissions & Registration

Students register and pay for courses in the Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center Admissions & Registration area, but can also receive information on scholarships and financial aid, complete student ID applications and get academic advising.

Service is provided on a first come-first serve basis. Appointments for specific personnel are made in exceptional situations on a case-by-case basis.

Continuing Education

The Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center hosts a wide variety of continuing education courses from all areas of study. Offerings include art & hobbies; computer literacy; Discovery College; ESL; GED; modern languages; and Scout program.

Counseling, Career and Disability Services

CCDS provides master's level counselors to assist with short-term counseling issues. We also offer crisis counseling, as well as assistance in finding resources that a student might need that our campus does not offer.

Facilities

The facilities staff assists employees with processing work orders and special projects around the Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center. The department staff makes sure the interior and exterior is well kept, takes care of the landscape and handles any necessary repairs and regular maintenance of the building. This department is also responsible for all deliveries and mail services.

Learning Commons

The Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center Learning Commons provides on-site use of computer and literature resources. The Learning Commons also houses the Testing Center.

Office of Technology Services

Lone Star College-Fairbanks Center contains its own technical services department to help students and staff with their computer and technical needs.
