The academics department houses faculty from several disciplines who teach at the Lone Star College–Fairbanks Center. Departments include: Accounting, Business & Computer Information/Technology; Biology & Natural Sciences; English; ESOL; History & Government; Mathematics; Social & Behavioral Sciences; and Transitional Studies.
Admissions & Registration
Students register and pay for courses in the Lone Star College–Fairbanks Center Admissions & Registration area, but can also receive information on scholarships and financial aid, complete student ID applications and get academic advising. Please bring trancripts from your high school and/or previous college/university.
Service is provided on a first come-first serve basis. Appointments for specific personnel are made in exceptional situations on a case-by-case basis.
Continuing Education
The Lone Star College–Fairbanks Center hosts a variety of continuing education courses. Offerings include GED, and ESOL.
Counseling, Career and Disability Services
CCDS provides master's level counselors to assist with short-term counseling issues. We also offer crisis counseling, as well as assistance in finding resources that a student might need that our campus does not offer.

Learning Commons
The Lone Star College–Fairbanks Center Learning Commons provides on-site use of computer and literature resources. The Learning Commons also houses the Testing Center.
