Salary:
Pharmacy Technician I
The salary range of the pharmacy tech I in the greater Houston area is $27,831-$34,552 annually ($13.38-$16.61 hourly). Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, this technician compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions and may be expected to perform some clerical duties. The technician may receive and store incoming supplies; verify stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records, and may be expected to meet certain state certifications. Typically, the technician I reports to supervisor or manager.
Pharmacy Technician II
The salary range of the pharmacy tech II in the greater Houston area is $32,363-$40,325 annually ($15.56-$19.39 hourly). Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, this technician compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions, and may be expected to perform some clerical duties. The technician may receive and store incoming supplies; verify stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records. This technician relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goal and may lead and direct the work of others. Typically, the technician II reports to supervisor or manager.
Pharmacy Technician Supervisor
