Lone Star College (LSC) and local Independent School Districts (ISD) have partnered to design high school courses geared to prepare students for college-level mathematics, reading and writing. Through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), high school students that successfully complete one or more of these college preparatory courses may receive credit for the following LSC courses: MATH 0308, MATH 0310, ENGL 0309 and/or EDUC 1300. Students must receive a “B” or higher in the College Prep Math and English courses and a “C” in the Student Success course in order to earn credit. 

Students are not required to meet criteria and guidelines common to other types of prior learning assessments. However, to receive credit, students must complete the following items within the first long semester after high school graduation:
