Submission Guidelines
The festival's competition categories include:
- Drama
- Comedy
- Public Service Announcements
- Action
- Documentary
- Commercial/Advertisement
- Horror
- Science Fiction
- Romance
- Animation
- News Packages
- Music Video
Students should pick one category from the list above and create an original project; your film should be no more than six minutes long. Filmmakers will be competing for the Quack Attack in each of the categories, the winners will be chosen by a jury of entertainment industry professionals and announced at the Quack Attack ceremony. Each film will be judged on the basis of: Creativity, Sound, Cinematography, and Special Effects. A commercial will be on YouTube.com and MySpace.com, along with the contest guidelines so that these publications can reach thousands of high school and college students.
To enter the Quack Attack Film Festival competition, please submit a completed entry form. Entries must be submitted on DVD disc. Submitted DVDs will not be returned. There will be a $5.00 entry fee per video.
Note: It is very important to make sure that your final copy plays exactly the way you want it to be shown. Your video should be playable on several different DVD players. It is very important that your video is in the right category. When you submit your film please include your submission packet.
Films should be submitted in person by February 22, 2010, at 8 p.m. in room Tech 105. Your submission packet and entry fee MUST be with your film. If you finish before then it is okay to send in your submissions early.
PLEASE SUBMIT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you are mailing your entry it should be postmarked February 22th, 2010. If it is postmarked after it will not be accepted. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. The postmark is only if you are mailing your entry. There will be a $5.00 entry fee per video. Download the Entry Form.
The over all winners of the Film Festival well receive a Visa Check Card out of the entry fees. All will be awarded at the Quack Attack Film Festival Ceremony.
All applicants who submitted a video will recieve a t-shirt at the Awards Ceremony. (If a film has more than one applicant. Each of the applicant in the group well recive a t-shirt. One per applicant)
