Borrow Books

Do you need to order a print book, a video or other library material? You can!
As a student, staff, or faculty member at the Lone Star College-University Center at Montgomery you may borrow library materials through MANY sources.

Borrow books directly from our next-door neighbor, the Lone Star-Montgomery College Library
You may also order materials from the other LSC campus libraries, or the Harris County Public and Montgomery County Memorial library collections to be delivered for you to pick up at the LSC-Montgomery College Library. To borrow or order materials, you will need one of the following:

A Community Borrower card easily obtained from the LSC-University Center Librarian or from the LSC-Montgomery College Library Circulation Desk (state-issued photo ID is required)
Your Harris County Public Library card
Your Montgomery County Memorial Library System card

Our Lady of the Lake University:
OLLU students may request items from the OLLU library for postal delivery to their homes. When you are finished with the material, you will be responsible for returning it to your home library. To make a request, visit the OLLU Material Request page.
Sam Houston State University:
SHSU students are able to borrow items from their university library for delivery to SHSU The Woodlands library for convenient pick up. When you are finished with the material, return it to the SHSU The Woodlands library to be returned the SHSU home library. Visit the SHSU Interlibrary loan webpage to make a request. NOTE: you will need to register as a distance learning student (on the SHSU Inter-Library loan webpage) once each semester to make requests.

Borrow books from any library in the United States via Interlibrary loan (ILL) service
Students, staff and faculty may request material from any library in the United States via their home university Interlibrary Loan service.

Our Lady of the Lake University:
OLLU students may request items from the OLLU Interlibrary loan service for postal delivery to their homes. When you are finished with the material, you will be responsible for returning it to your home library.
To make a request, visit the Interlibrary loan Request page. *NOTE: students will be required to login with their campus network login and password.

University of Houston-Victoria:
Students of University of Houston-Victoria are able to request interlibrary loan items for delivery to LSC-University Center at Montgomery Library for convenient pick up. When you are finished with the material, return it to LSC-University Center at Montgomery Library library to be returned to the UHV main library. Visit the UHV Distance Learning Students Library Sevices webpage to make a request.
