Sociology, MA (SOC) This degree is designed to provide high quality instruction and research in the study of the functioning and organization of society. Students who enter the graduate program in sociology will receive advanced and updated instruction in classical and contemporary sociological theory, qualitative and quantitative techniques of sociological investigations, social statistics, and major substantive areas in the field. The primary objective of the program is to provide students with the scientific tools to study and analyze society, social issues and to enhance their professional skills to successfully enter the labor market.
